Crash takes out power lines near Baypark

Power is still out to some homes following a crash near Baypark.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Truman Lane around 10.30pm.

A SunLive reader emailed in to say a car had crashed into power pole and flipped.

The road was closed as the crash had caused power lines to come down.

SunLive has contacted police for more information about the crash and will update this story as soon as we get it.

Meanwhile, Powerco is reporting that 27 homes are still without power following the crash.

According to its website, power is estimated to be back on around 9.30am.
