Person killed in BOP crash named

The person who died following a two-vehicle crash on on State Highway 2 in the Bay of Plenty, can now be named.

Police have identified 58-year-old Denny Wiki as the person who was killed in a crash on SH2, near Nukuhou on Friday.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing, says a police spokesperson.

Three other people were injured in the crash, between a car and ute, and were taken to hospital with various injuries.

People with information relevant to the crash, and who haven't already spoken with police, can report any information to their local police station.
