A man is dead following a crash in Colville, Thames-Coromandel District.
Police responded to the fatal crash at 11.17pm yesterday.
"One man died after a vehicle left Port Jackson Road on to rocks below.
"Another person received critical injuries while two other passengers were seriously injured.
"The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene and the death has been referred to the Coroner."
