3.25pm Update: The crash that occurred this morning on State Highway 30 near Tikitere has been cleared and the road is now open.

Police have confirmed that one person has died following the serious crash on State Highway 30, Tikitere, near Rotorua.
Another person has been transported to Rotorua Hospital in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit will examine the scene.
The road is closed and is expected to remain so for some time.
Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area. NZTA have advised that SH30 is closed, and that a detour, via SH2, is in place in both directions:
Westbound traffic to Rotorua: use SH34 through Otakiri, turn left onto SH2, turn left at Matata to stay on SH2, turn left onto SH33 to Rotorua.
East bound Traffic from Rotorua: Sh30 north turn right to Sh33, to SH2 continue to Matata, turn right to Otakiri and continue through to SH34.
It is unknown at this stage when the road will be reopened
Emergency services have been called to the scene of a serious crash involving a car and a motorcyle on State Highway 30, Tikitere, near Rotorua.
Police were called about 10.40am.
Initial indications are one person is critically injured and another is seriously injured.
Diversions are being put in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The NZ Transport Agency is reporting a serious crash has occurred on State Highway 30 near Tikitere.
The incident happened about 11.05am and emergency services have been called to the scene.
The crash has happened about half a kilometre south of Tikitere and 2.45km northeast of Te Ngae.
Traffic will be delayed as the road has been closed.
