UPDATED 9.54PM: State Highway 29a near Baypark is now partially open following a crash.

Emergency services were called to crash between a car and motorbike around 9pm.

While the road was initially closed, a police spokesperson says it "looks like the road is partially open now".

"Diversions are also in place."

Police say one person has been injured as a result of the crash.

Anyone with information about the crash, and haven't already spoken with police can contact their nearest police station or the police 105 non-emergency line.

Information can also be given anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.

Police are investigating.

UPDATED 9.30PM: State Highway 29A is closed near Baypark after a crash between a car and a motorcycle.

Emergency services were called to the crash about 9pm, says a police spokesperson.

"One person is injured.

"Motorists are asked to avoid the area."

EARLIER:

A crash is being reported on State Highway 2, near Baypark tonight.

A SunLive reader has messaged us on Facebook to say there is a "big accident at Baypark roundabout".

He says it looks like a motorbike and two cars are involved.

"Police and fire and also ambulance on scene."

NZTA is reporting that people should expect delays following a crash in the a crash in the area.

The crash is believed to be blocking the northbound lane.
