10.42pm Update: PowerCo report that there is a power outage in Ohauiti on Monday evening following a vehicle striking a power pole on Ohauiti Rd.

A power cut has affected 148 properties, with the power outage occurring at 10.21pm. Power is expected to be restored by 7am on Tuesday July 2.

A Sunlive reporter at the scene says Ohauiti Rd is closed between Buxton Pl and Boscabel Dr.

Earlier, 10.07pm: Police report that a crash has occurred in Ohauiti on Monday evening.

Police and fire emergency services were called about 9.40pm following a car crashing into a power pole on Ohauiti Rd, between Buxton Pl and Boscabel Dr.

There has been no report of serious injuries, however the power pole was knocked over and there are lines down.

Local residents reported that the power went off about 9.40pm and then came back on about five seconds later.

A SunLive reporter at the scene says that the road is closed.

Police are still at the scene.
