Update, 12pm State Highway 2 in Pukehina remains down to one lane under Stop/Go traffic management due to a truck crash earlier this morning.

A crane is on site.

One person has sustained minor injuries after a truck and trailer crashed near Pukehina this morning.

A single-vehicle crash on State Highway 2, Pukehina north of Otamarakau Beach Access was reported to Police at 7.51am.

One person sustained minor injuries.

The road is down to one lane of traffic and is expected to be blocked for some time.

The NZ Transport Agency advise that due to the crash, motorists can expect traffic delays and to pass the scene with care.

Contractors have been notified to help remove the truck.
