UPDATE: One person is reported to have sustained serious injuries in a crash in Judea, Tauranga, this morning.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the corner of Koromiko Street and McCord Ave just before 9.50am.

A police spokesperson says the crash was between a truck and motorbike.

"One person's reported to have sustained serious injuries.

"The road is blocked in the area."

A serious crash is being reported in the Judea area of Tauranga.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says police are at the scene of a crash on the corner of Koromiko Street and McCord Ave.

"It looks like they will be closing down the road.

"A truck and motorbike may have been involved. Ambulance was here, but have taken someone to hospital."

Motorists are advised to avoid the area as emergency services work to clear the crash scene.
