Numerous in-person Anzac Day commemorations, including three dawn services at Memorial Park, Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, will be held across Tauranga this year.

These will give the public a chance to acknowledge those who fought for the freedom of New Zealanders 107 years ago and those still doing so today.

The following road closures will be in place on Anzac Day around Tauranga:

Tauranga, from 7am to 12 noon

• Eleventh Avenue – between Devonport Road and Fraser Street
• Fraser Street – between Eleventh Avenue and Thirteenth Avenue

Please note: mobility card holders will be able to get through the road closures.

Mount Maunganui, from 4:30am to 12 noon

• Marine Parade - between Commons and Banks Avenues
• Pacific Avenue – between Rita Street and Marine Parade
