State Highway 25 has been closed due to a slip.
Waka Kotahi NZTA advise that SH25 is closed between Kuaotunu and Wharekaho.
Motorists are advised to follow the direction of crews and emergency services on-site.
No detour is available. The slip is located about 5km north of Cooks Beach.
"Avoid the area or delay your journey if possible," says a NZTA spokesperson.
It is unknown when the road will be reopened.
