Residents across the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Auckland are feeling the impact of a magnitude 3.9 earthquake 5km south of Te Aroha.
The earthquake stuck at 6.56am, and had a depth of 7km.
According to Geonet, over 5354 people have felt the quake.
"I just felt it here in Tauranga," says a SunLive reader.
"Made the house creak and shook the furniture."

On the BOP & Waikato Weather & Natural events Facebook page, users are reporting their own experience with the quake.
"Felt it in Hamilton, I was sleeping in my van, felt like a truck was driving past but there was no truck," says one user.

Felt 6 or so very mild wobbles over about 4 seconds.
