Police can now confirm the name of the person who died in a collision between a bicycle and a vehicle on Friday April 28.

"He was Bryan Edward Marris, 59, of Papamoa Beach,"says a police spokesperson.

"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time."

Bryan died following a crash that occurred between a vehicle and a bicycle on Hewletts Road, Mount Maunganui at around 4.15pm on Friday.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
