Reports are coming in of a plane crash at Tauranga Airport.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says emergency services are responding to an incident at the airport.

"A plane appears to have crashed landed on one of the runways.

"It looks like a small plane and doesn't appear to be any injuries."

A police spokesperson says they have received a report of a light aircraft having issues on landing at Tauranga Airport.

"There are no reports of any injuries."
