Joints can heal – Part 1

I just got off the phone from someone I first spoke to three months ago.

Now in his sixties, he had a very physical career which has left him with painful knees from osteoarthritis.

At first onset the problem was merely annoying but more recently it started to affect his quality of life. He’s just told me the knee pain has almost gone.

We appear to be doing well and our bodies seem to be repairing damage.

Then one day there’s a niggle; a pain you haven’t had before. This is especially true of osteoarthritis.

Cartilage is a thin layer of tough tissue that protects the ends of bones.

Throughout cartilage are living cells called chondrocyte that repair damage to cartilage by secreting new cartilage.

Healthy cartilage depends on chondrocytes.

If these die, the cartilage it maintained will disintegrate. Osteoarthritis is more a disease caused by chondrocyte loss rather than wear and tear.

Glucosamine has long been used to help cartilage repair.

However, Chondroitin sulphate is much more important as this is an actual constituent of cartilage.

A dose of 800mg of high-grade chondroitin sulphate is the most important supplement you can add.

That, along with Glucosamine with Curcumin from turmeric, to reduce joint inflammation can make a real difference.

My client says the improvements are continuing. I get much feedback from long term clients with joint issues.

They often say improvements continue years after they commenced.
