A nine-year-old boy remains in serious condition in Auckland's Starship Hospital after an accident at an East Coast School two weeks ago.

The Taradale Primary School students is believed to have jumped from a window after becoming trapped when a toilet door became stuck on Monday, May 25.

He had to be resuscitated after his shirt became hooked on something when he jumped from the window, and he was left hanging by it.

A spokesman for Starship on Wednesday says he remained in a serious condition.
