What’s on Today? Beanie mania

The sun is set to shine across Tauranga today but it's still going to be a cold day in the Bay.

If you're looking for something fun, and warm, to do, then why not check out Beanie Mania 2015.

Beanies of all colours on display at The Incubator at the Historic Village on 17th Ave. Photo: Ninja Knits Facebook.

From 10am to 2pm, The Incubator at Historic Village are hosting a wearable head art exhibition.

At 3pm, the Beanie Fest 2015 prize giving begins with around 70 beanie designs looking to win.

Organisers are encouraging people to come dressed in their favourite 70s cable knitwear, and beanie.

'We have chilli beans, jelly beans and other exciting beanie themed nibbles. Soak up the live music and be entertained by a contemporary jazz dance both brought to you two local artists.

'We are supplying bean bags for comfort and free coffee, hot chocolate and tea to keep you warm. Come and invite friends and family to see some glorious prizes presented to the creative geniuses who made the winning beanies. Don't forget we have a special prize for the People's Choice Award.”
