Mount Maunganui's Impact Gymsport Academy know what success is all about, and they've been producing champions since they first opened two-and-a-half years ago.
Now their secrets are about to be revealed, with the club holding an open day for the public.

The club is making a big impression on the New Zealand gymnastic scene by producing award winning gymnasts.
Since opening their doors in February 2013, the number of children attending classes has tripled to 450 members. And of the 42 representatives selected to represent the Bay of Plenty this year at the National Championships, 22 are registered with the academy.
The academy is holding an Open Day on Sunday, September 20, from 10am to 2pm, at 36G MacDonald Street, Mount Maunganui. Members of the public can come and see the facility, try out the equipment and see gymnasts in action.
Impact Gymsport Academy centre manager Deirdre Campion says there will be lots of fun things to take part in, such as gym circuits for children, gymnastics displays including aerobics, rhythmic and tumbling, kid's activities and games as well as afood stall and espresso coffee.
'Gymnastics teaches children fantastic life skills, including discipline, mental toughness, balance, teamwork and friendship,” says Deirdre. 'It also provides an excellent base for all other sports.”
At the 2015 Junior Midlands Championships – an area which covers between Wanganui and the base of The Bombays – the Academy had three gymnasts crowned champions including Maddison Brick (Step 1 Champion) and nine-year-olds Reece Cobb (Step 3 Champion) and Isaac Earp (Level 1 Champion).
'Our students are very dedicated,” adds Deirdre. 'We have 50 competitive gymnasts that train from 3-16 hours per week, depending on their age and skill level.
General gymnastics skills are taught to the majority of members with classes for pre-schoolers as well as school holiday programmes.
Due to a growing membership, the Academy has this year moved to bigger premises. They currently run five gym sports including artistic, rhythmic, aerobics, tumbling and gym for all.
