One lucky Lotto player is $5 million richer by winning the powerball jackpot.

The winning ticket was sold at Greerton Lotto in Tauranga and is made up of $4m from powerball first division and $1 million from Lotto first division.

It is the second week a row the powerball jackpot has been won, and the tenth time someone has won it this year.

In addition, 93 strike players from across the country have won $10,440 each after strike four jackpotted to a must-be-won draw after reaching its threshold of $800,000 for only the second time in history.
