Paeroa Police are opening their doors and offering people the chance to peek behind the curtain as part of the National Police Open Day on October 18.
This is your chance to see local officers in action, meet Armed Offenders Squad members and police dogs, see how a booze bus operates and view some of the latest policing equipment.

Sergeant Craig Gilbert says this event gives the public an opportunity for a hands on experience with their local police staff.
'The reason Paeroa is participating in this year's open day is that earlier this year our station was established as the 24/7 operational hub for the Eastern Waikato,” explains Craig.
'This was a first for this part of the district, so it's a chance for us to say to the community this is who we are and this is what we do.”
In 2014 a similar event was held in Hamilton and proved extremely popular with more than 20,000 people visiting the city's station.
Craig adds that the event on Sunday of next week will be a chance for the people of the Eastern Waikato to share in the experience.
'So come along, have a look at the new coloured patrol car, get your photo taken with a Police dog and who knows, you might just see a star from Road Cops on the Booze Bus.”
The Paeroa Police Station Open Day takes place on Sunday, October 18, from 10am to 2pm. For more information visit: www.police.govt.nz/openday
