New CEO for rugby union

The chairman of the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union, Bruce Cameron, today announced Mike Rogers as the successful candidate to replace outgoing CEO Jeremy Curragh.

Mike has been with the union since 2005 and has been Operations Manager since 2009.
'We have run a thorough and robust recruitment process that was strongly contested. The board and I are delighted to announce Mike as the new CEO,” says Bruce.
'Mike knows the rugby industry well and has developed strong commercial acumen over recent years. It is important the Union continues to strengthen and Mike is the person to do this”.
Mike is delighted to have the opportunity to continue the strong momentum the union has gained.
'This will be a fantastic year for Bay of Plenty Rugby, as we not only celebrate our Centenary, and also play our part in the Rugby World Cup.”
Mike will transition into the role over the next four weeks.
