To allow for the construction of a new toilet facility the Thames Library will be closed from February 5 to March 8.

Library Coordinator Linda Hayfield says the current location of the toilet facility has been an issue for a number of years.

'We are concerned at the current accessibility and it is an opportunity to provide a baby changing facility in response to customer requests," says Linda.

Limited service will be provided for customers during this time, which includes extended loan periods and larger loan amounts.

But online library services will still be available and if you have a district library membership these facilities are free. This includes online book renewals, E-books and access to electronic databases.

'To return your books during the closed period use the 'bookdrop' located on the garden side of the library.”

Linda adds that Wi-Fi will also still be available 24/7 around the perimeter of the library.
