Some of fun, plenty of sun add in a lot of different families and you had the perfect recipe for the Nature's Fresh Simple Sunday Fun-day at Omanu Beach today.

The family fun day was one of a series of events to be held around the country. Today's event provided Kiwi families and friends with a fun-filled day of free outdoor activities, games and enjoyment.

Omanu is one of eight locations Nature's Fresh chose to hold the family fun day says marketing manager Jo Sutherland.

When SunLive headed down to the event just under 200 families took up the chance to participate in the free event.

A SunLive reporter says it appeared all families taking part were enjoying themselves with one family hoping it would be an annual event.

The Nature's Fresh Simple Sunday Fun-day series will run to March 13 and will visit Queenstown, Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Taupo, Omanu, Auckland and Omaha.

The Nature's Fresh range of loaves and sliders are all made from natural ingredients, providing Kiwi families with fresh, great tasting bread.

The Nature's Fresh range includes White Toast, White Sandwich, Multi-Grain Toast, Wheatmeal Toast, Wheatmeal Sandwich, Simply Fibre White and Super Thick Loaf bread, Original and Sesame Sliders, Original and Wholemeal Wraps, Buns and Rolls.

Nature's Fresh range is available from leading supermarkets, convenience stores, and selected petrol stations nationwide.
