Should New Zealand tax sugar?

The UK is considering a tax on sugary drinks to curb the growing obesity epidemic.

Some politicians here think it is a great idea. SunLive hit the streets of Tauranga and asked shoppers whether they thought this was a good idea.

Understandably a property shortage in Auckland so what tax sugar use less create another Fontera seniario sell of that enterprise that has been running successfully for well over hundred years. Is there another Chinese supplier that Mrs Collins has a hand in?. Wake up have a cup of cement NZ and bloody harden up. Sugar is not forced upon anyone same as soft drinks just a lazy alternative like the coffee carts and the flavoured mixes full of sugar you hippocrits.

What an idiotic argument ! Why not increase the price of marriage certificates to reduce the incidence of divorce ? Why not increase the price of cars to reduce the amount of collisions? As always someone proposes the same old tired worn-out remedy of price increase to reduce its potential negative consequences. Why should the people who take care of their bodies responsibly have to suffer due to the actions of the irresponsible who insist on eating and drinking like pigs?
