Support for youth art projects

The Ministry of Youth Development and Thames-Coromandel Council have formed a new partnership fund to help support their commitments to the district's youth.

Applications for the Youth Voice Art Project fund, which provides up to $1000 per community board ward for projects, is now open and will close at the end of April.

The fund is available for projects involving any type of art forms, such as music, fine arts, circus or performances to name a few.

The criteria for the fund includes:

  • Have a youth (aged 12-24) leading the project
  • Have the project completed by June 30, 2016
  • Have an adult supervisor and a receiving group for the funds (school, charity, society, etc.)
  • Complete the mid-way and final evaluation forms for Ministry of Youth Development
