Edward Quilty has tendered his resignation from the Board of Comvita Limited, effective immediately.

Ed was first appointed to be a director of Comvita Limited when Derma Sciences, Inc., Comvita's USA based woundcare partner, became a significant shareholder in Comvita in August 2013.

'Ed resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Derma at the end of 2015. With his resignation from Derma in the US, it was agreed by the Comvita Board that it was no longer appropriate for Ed to continue as a director on the Comvita Board,” says a statement released by the company.

'The Board is grateful to Ed for his contribution, particularly as it related to keeping an ongoing strong relationship with Derma.

'Sales of Medihoney branded woundcare products by Derma to hospitals and professionals now account for circa US$20m per annum and growing, realising a continuing royalty stream for Comvita.”
