A large section of the Mauao base track will be closed next week.

Tauranga City Council is closing a section of the track to allow resurfacing work to be completed.

The red line indicates where the track will be closed.

'The section of track to be closed is on the harbour entrance side, shown on the map in red,” says a statement from the council.

'That section of track will be closed 8am – 4pm daily for up to five days starting Monday.”

It will re-open sooner if the work is completed prior to Friday.
