GeoNet says it had a focal depth of 65km.

White Island's volcanic alert level remains at one, meaning there is minor volcanic unrest.

Its current aviation code is yellow.

This means while the volcanic activity has decreased significantly, volcanologists continue to monitor the volcano for any possible renewed increase.

Not white Island as 30km away is to far but it is in line with the ring of fire, wonder if there is a cone under water nearby to the quake point?
