The new Mount Greens complex is proving a success for croquet players with it improving matches at this week's winter tournament.

It was the first of Croquet Mount Maunganui's four tournaments and was held on Monday and Tuesday.

The club's Marion Atack says many of the players were from ‘over the hill' and from down as far as Whakatane and two good days of weather helped the occasion along.

Tournament sponsor was Mount Liquor Mart and those who received vouchers from there were:
