Escape the winter's gloom and bask in the warmth of reggae beats and beautiful harmonies when Tomorrow People hit Mount Maunganui this weekend.

After a busy schedule of touring the Pacific Islands and Australia this year, the seven-piece Wellington band is back home soil and bringing the sunshine to Totara Street on Saturday, July 9.

Founded in 2010, Tomorrow People has captured the imaginations of people all around the world with their self-described ‘sunshine reggae' and a sound built on strong vocals, infectious hooks, aggressive ragga raps and feel good rhythms.

Along with three albums, two of which reached #1 on the official NZ music charts, they've won a slew of awards including the Waiata Music Award for ‘Best Roots Reggae Album' as well as played New Zealand's biggest festivals like One Love, Rhythm n Vines, and Raggamuffin to name a few.

Tomorrow People is also one of six Kiwi acts who are joining forces on July 17 to help raise funds for South Auckland's Te Puea Marae which has opened its doors to feed and house families suffering serious hardship.
