That's my mum ...

Posted on 06-06-2011 10:07 | By Murray.Guy

Ngaire Anne Guy (NAG for short)has her contribution to music acknowledged - Awesome. Mum's 85, blind and still teaching piano (Royal Schools). Her contribution has obviously been over many many years in our city, arriving here in Tauranga in 1951 with my dad to open a new Inland Revenue office. One of many areas of committment, my mother was the church organist at St.Enochs Presbyterian Church in 16th Avenue for 40 years.

And my Mum, too

Posted on 06-06-2011 16:18 | By maggie.farmer

Our Mum is a determined young lady (86 actually)sharing her passion for passing piano technique on to the younger generations against great odds. Her pupils will testify to that! Seniors are a valuable and rich resource to siciety in so many fields. We are so humbled that our Mother's work and great love has been publicly acknowledged.

Congratulations Ngaire

and great to see a proud son and daughter in law with her.85, blind, and still teaching. "Wonderful". Sincere congratulations to all the others as well. They sure don't make them like they used to.
