Alzheimers Tauranga/WBOP is holding their third annual Memory Walk on September 17 and invites you to take a positive step for dementia during World Alzheimers Month.
A gentle 3km course beginning at Coronation Park and taking in a stroll along Pilot Bay and Mount main beach, the walk is in the perfect setting to remember people in your life who have or have had dementia, while supporting the Alzheimers Society, says fundraising coordinator for Alzheimers Tauranga/WBOP Julie Sargisson.
People from all over the Bay of Plenty will be taking part in the annual Memory Walk on September 17.
'Dementia touches two thirds of all New Zealanders, and the number of people affected is increasing every year.
'We're pleased to offer this fun, affordable opportunity to get a group of friends or family together to honour those you know who have been affected, while knowing that you are helping people in your own community to get the support they need.”

Money raised from the Memory Walk will help fund services for local people who are affected by the disease.
Alzheimers Tauranga provides support by way of individual family visits, support groups for carers and activity programmes and companion services to people with dementia.
