One of Aotearoa's most loved family bands Three Houses Down are returning to Mount Maunganui with new music.

In celebration of the release of their new single ‘Love and Affection', the Auckland roots, rock and reggae band featuring special guest General Fiyah at Totara Street on Saturday, December 3.

Formed in 2004 by brothers Rob, Sione and Charlie Pome'e, Three Houses Down are now considered one of New Zealand's most respected international acts, forging a path across the globe with their infectious blend of roots, rock and reggae, with a hint of classical sensibility.

As the 10-piece band's sound and following has grown and developed so too has the band itself.

Stepping up to the mic for the new single ‘Love and Affection' is 10-year-old General Fiyah, the son of vocalist and keyboardist Rob Pome'e.

'I wrote this song because I had a crush on this girl at school but she had no interest in me,” says General Fiyah, a.k.a Nicholas Pome'e.

'I soon discovered that all I needed in this day and age is the love of my family and I wanted to make clear, especially to those that have been there for me since day one…that I wanted to be there for them, just as they are there for me.”

Along with new music Three Houses Down are hitting the road with an epic new live show that'll remind Kiwis of the band's place in the upper echelons of Reggae-dom.

The SunLive has one double pass to give away to one lucky reader who can name the 10-year-old vocalist who appears on Three Houses Down's new single ‘Love and Affection'?
