Two days after springing from their eggs on Mount Main Beach, the two oystercatcher chicks have ventured out of the nest.

Cate Duff video the chicks this morning away from their nest with Harry and Sophie, mum and dad.

They were seen running down the beach by the water.

It will be about six weeks before the chicks are ready to fly.
