The weather forecast is looking good for getting outdoors today. We're expecting a fine day with light winds.
It's still winter out there so make sure you stay warm. It's a three-clothing-layer day with a high of 15 and an overnight low of 7 degrees predicted.
This day in NZ history in 1988 the Cartwright Report was published which condemned a cancer treatment experiment and proposed radical new measures to ensure patients' rights, including the establishment of a National Cervical Screening Programme.
