The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that SH36 between Tauranga and Rotorua will be closed on Friday at 10am for approximately one hour.
The closure will enable a temporary bridge to be lifted in so the old one can be demolished.

Motorists are asked to delay travel tomorrow, if possible, until after the closure or to use SH33 instead.
SH36 will continue to be open at all other times, having been closed recently after a rock fall there that forced its closure for six weeks.
