Four leading speakers sharing their insights, knowledge and experience around Digital Transformation, and the importance of Data and Analytics, and A.I. are speaking at an event at the Tauranga Art Gallery on Thursday.

The later afternoon event is hosted by Waikato-based IT company Dynamo6 in association with Amazon Web Services.

It's turning out to be a very popular event, says Storicom director Jonathan Tudor.

There's room for about 100-120 people at the Art Gallery and as of Wednesday there were 60-70 registrations. Entry is free.

'We are talking about digital transformation and especially artificial intelligence, that's something that people are questioning,” says Jonathan.

'There will be a blog being sent out to all attendees probably tomorrow, and that's all about artificial intelligence.”

One of the speakers is Justin Flitter, Director, NewZealand.ai. Justin recently founded NewZealand.ai as a platform to inform, support and showcase Kiwi businesses utilising Artificial Intelligence. Since launching one of NZ's first business incubators in 2000 he's worked with 100's of innovative technology and software companies.

Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.

These processes include learning the acquisition of information and rules for using the information, using the rules to reach approximate or definite conclusions, and self-correction.

Particular applications of AI include expert systems, speech recognition and machine vision.

‘Data and the Digital Future' in association with Amazon Web Services, focuses on technology innovation and winning in the digital world.

Hear from a range of technology leaders using real business examples to share their knowledge and experience around Digital Transformation, and the importance of Data, Analytics and A.I. These terms are thrown around a lot at the moment and it's easy to think they only apply to Fortune 500 companies and the Silicon Valley, but they are not, says Jonathan.

There are real business advantages to be gained through better understanding and use of data. Learn the next steps around A.I. and how you can start innovating in this space; creating a culture for innovation; digital transformation and leveraging the power of the AWS platform.

The event starts at 4.30pm with presentation beginning 5pm and running till 6.15pm, with a Q&A afterwards.
