The Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter was dispatched to Matakana Island just after midnight this morning to a motor vehicle accident.
A 41-year-old male suffered suspected hip injuries after the car he was traveling in rolled.
The man was stabilised at the scene before being flown to Tauranga Hospital for treatment.
Today the Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter was also dispatched to Whakatane Hospital for an emergency transfer.
A 51-year-old male was suffering a medical emergency, and require a rapid response flight to Tauranga Hospital for specialist treatment.
