UPDATED 3.50PM: The fire at a Papamoa property has been extinquished.
A fire service spokesperson says three fire crews are still in attendance.
The fire service was called at around 1.15pm to the property, where a 5x15 metre shed was 'well-involved' in fire.
"Due to the size of the fire, we received a lot of 111 calls."
He wasn't aware of any injuries as a result of the blaze.

Thick, black smoke is being reported in the Papamoa area as firefighters respond to reports of a garage fire.
One person wrote on Facebook that smoke can be seen around Domain Road.
"It looks like a house fire."
A reporter on The Strand in Tauranga says he can see the fire from where he is.
He says smoke can be seen coming from the Papamoa area.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a building on Domain Road is completely engulfed in flames and firefightgers are battling the blaze.
