Z Energy Papamoa ran out of fuel this morning, petrol and diesel, but more supplies are expected today, says a Z Energy spokesperson.
The reason behind the shortage is the shut down in the fuel pipeline from Marsden Point to Auckland, after a leak was detected on Sunday.
It's affected the entire supply chain, says Z Energy spokesperson Georgina Ball.
Delivery of more 91 octane and diesel is expected at Z Papamoa in two or three hours.
Other Z energy stations in the city still have fuel.
Z energy is prioritising the delivery of 91 octane and diesel. Shortages of premium may last a bit longer.
'The other sites in Tauranga have fuel and this site will have fuel again soon. This will be short term,” says Georgina.
'We are sorry about the inconvenience for people, but there will be more deliveries in the next few hours. There are deliveries happening all the time and shortages are going to be short lived.”

The point here is that it didn't cause a shortage with any other outlet, only Z at Papamoa. Most likely just bad management !
