Bryan Adams concert postponed

Promoters for tonight's Bryan Adams concert at ASB Baypark Stadium have made the call to postpone the concert to Sunday following today's extreme weather.

With flooding on several roads around the city and trees down on roads leading into Tauranga, many patrons planning to attend tonight's concert have spent the day on social media calling for the event to be postponed or cancelled.

Police and local authorities have asked people to stay off the roads unless they absolutely need to travel.

Neptune Entertainment announced via its Facebook page this morning that the event was still going ahead, however it has just announced that, with the weather taking a turn for the worse, the event will be postponed until Sunday.

Although patrons were expressing disappointment at the thought of not being able to see Bryan Adams, the vast majority had safety concerns ranging from it being 'too dangerous” to be on the roads to the welfare of the crowd at the venue.

Promoters will provide a full update on timings for Sunday's concert and refunds shortly.
