Train crash victim named

Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash involving a train and an off-road vehicle near Katikati, in the Western Bay of Plenty on Friday night.

He was 53-year-old local man, Matthew Paul Pettigrew.

His death will be referred to the Coroner.

How about just looking and listening and if there is a train approaching let it go first- trains are quite big so should be easy to spot...
