6.15pm Update: There are traffic delays on State Highway 2 due to a serious vehicle accident near the Omokoroa intersection. Traffic diversions are in place at Barretts Road, Whakamarama.
Earlier (5.00pm) Reports are coming in of a serious car crash on State Highway 2 near Omokoroa.
The crash is believed to be past the Whakamarama shops near the turn-off to Omokoroa.
Traffic is backing up on SH2 between Whakamarama and the Omokoroa intersection with road diversions being put in place.

Second one today At least 6+ cop cars gone past Munro rd this time + 2 ambos either fix the car drivers or build a hospital A&E out at Omokoroa

what about the cyclists that got hit by car on state highway 29 just before barkes corner roundabout two ambulances in attendants.

When is action going to be taken to fix this road. I travel it daily to work and back and after 35 years of driving with no issues. I now feel nervous driving this road

Stop blaming roads, weather etc...Its the nut behind the wheel. How can anyone say they drive the same road for years with no problems then when there are crashes its the fault of the road?Whatever! Drivers causes crashes, plain and simple!!
