Cadbury is launching a nation-wide Cadbury Dairy Milk road trip to encourage Kiwis to create real moments of connection and enjoy chocolate with the people they love.

The road trip will be in the Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Hawke's Bay this week, stopping in Tauranga and Whakatane on June 11 before heading to Gisborne on June 12, and Napier and Hastings on June 13.

'New Zealanders lead busy lives and we don't always take the time to share a moment with the people we care about. Our goal is to travel the country to bring Kiwis together, so they can take some time out to create meaningful moments with one another,” says Mondelez New Zealand country head James Kane.

To help create real moments of connection amongst New Zealanders and to launch its Share the Taste campaign, the Cadbury team will spend six weeks road tripping around the country to give Kiwis the opportunity to share smooth and creamy Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate together.

The road trip kicks off in Auckland on Thursday May 31 and will end in Christchurch on World Chocolate Day on Saturday July 7.

The Cadbury team is visiting 28 locations throughout New Zealand.

'We want to encourage Kiwis to come down with their friends, family or colleagues to share the delicious taste of Cadbury Dairy Milk,” says James.

The Cadbury team at the road trip sites will also provide special stickers that Kiwis can use to personalise a block of Cadbury Dairy Milk for that special person they want to share it with, whether it's their partner, mum or BFF.

Bay of Plenty, Gisborne and Hawke's Bay residents would normally share chocolate with someone a few times a week and 52 per cent take turns when sharing their chocolate so that they each have an even amount, according to a recent survey.

Cadbury will be keeping track of the most popular people Cadbury lovers choose to share their chocolate with and reveal the results on World Chocolate Day.
