It may be the middle of winter but the temperatures are heating up.
It's cracking up to be a mixed couple of days over the weekend in the Bay of Plenty, but make sure to keep an eye out because there is rain on the way.
On Friday, there will be long sunny spells but with an isolated afternoon shower. The wind will be mostly westerly. The high will be 14 degrees.
'Saturday and Sunday, we've got showers that will clear in the evenings,” says MetService meteorologist Mark Bowe.
Looking at Saturday, there will be the occasional showers, clearing later on in the day with nor west winds and a high of 15 degrees.
On Sunday, showers will return again but will be clearing in the evening with a southwest wind change. It will be a high of 15 degrees.
