Police investigating the death of a toddler are appealing for any information that may help them with the case.

Comfort Joy Witeri-Thompson died as a result of head injuries Police believe were deliberately inflicted, says Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Cranshaw, Taupo Area Police.

"A committed team of detectives continues to investigate the death of 18-month-old Comfort.

"The enquiry team seeks the continued cooperation of family and close associates in bringing those responsible to account."

As police seek to build up a picture of Comfort's life before she died, they welcome any information from her immediate family and their associates.
