UPDATE 12.43pm: Two vehicles have crashed at the intersection of Waihi Road and 11th Ave.

A reporter at the scene says that the crash happened at the off ramp coming from Takitimu Drive, on to Waihi Road heading towards Hamilton.

"It looks like someone was trying turn onto 11th Ave and was hit by a car coming from Waihi Road," she says.

"There are currently 2 fire trucks at the scene and 3 or 4 people getting looked over by paramedics."

"There doesn't seem to be any injuries. They all just look a bit shaken up."

"A tow truck has arrived and it looks like the car will be moved very soon so the traffic flow should go back to normal."

"The crash is near the Waihi Road on-ramp."
