Developers of New Zealand-owned retail development, Tauranga Crossing, have announced two new store openings in its Lifestyle Centre.
Iconic national department store Farmers and homeware specialists Bed Bath & Beyond opened their doors to the public at Tauranga Crossing this week.
'We are looking forward to the opening at Tauranga Crossing. This Farmers department store will offer customers a contemporary and fashionable shopping experience," says Michael Power, Acting CEO of Farmers.
"The store has a new look finish with polished concrete floors and open ceilings. It includes three new prestige beauty brands, a full fragrance offer, cosmetics and health and beauty in addition to Farmers home, toys and fashion offers.”
Farmers is now open at the Lifestyle Centre, located directly opposite the shopping centre on Taurikura Drive, Tauriko.
The new Bed Bath & Beyond is the first of their new large format Home Stores in Tauranga and features extended bedding, linen and bathroom ranges as well as extended decor and furniture lines, with specialty pieces and additional colours available across a range of products.
'We're really excited to open our new concept Home Store at Tauranga Crossing. It is a fantastic retail location and we have full confidence it is the perfect place to establish our large format model," says Trevor Brown, CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond.
Steve Lewis, CEO of Tauranga Crossing, commented on the openings: 'Farmers department store and Bed Bath & Beyond are welcome additions to the growing line-up of retailers at Tauranga Crossing and their commitment is an endorsement of the growing success of the development and the region itself.”
'2018 has been a successful year for openings at Tauranga Crossing, and we have opened new tenants with more than 10,000 sqm of space in the past 12 months," says Steve.
"Once Stage 2 of the centre is completed in April 2019 we will have 45,000 sqm of lettable area open to the public, making Tauranga Crossing the largest retail destination in the Bay of Plenty.”
The first phase of the new enclosed shopping mall will open on 4th October and feature up to 15 general merchandise and lifestyle retailers, giving customers a taste of what's to come with the grand opening of the shopping mall and fashion galleria in April 2019.
On completion, Stage Two will include further shopping and dining options across two levels in an enclosed mall along with a unique Entertainment Precinct, anchored by Event Cinemas.
The cinema complex will include six screens, more than 1000 seats and the only Vmax screen in the Bay of Plenty region.
Up to 70 additional international and national fashion, apparel and general merchandise retailers will take the total number of stores and restaurants in the Tauranga Crossing shopping complex to over 100, which will be serviced by more than 1700 free carparks.
Along with the unmatched retail offering, Tauranga Crossing will also be home to a two-level dining precinct featuring 15 casual dining options and an al-fresco dining terrace overlooking a sun-drenched north facing outdoor garden area, which is designed specifically with families in mind.
