A heavy rain watch is in place for the Bay of Plenty as more rain is set to drench the Bay.
The watch issued by Metservice is in place from 5am this morning until 5pm Sunday evening.
In a statement from the Metservice, it says there will be periods of rain, with heavy and possibly thundery falls.
'This watch is for the likelihood of rainfall accumulations reaching warning criteria.”
People are advised to keep up to date with the latest forecasts in case parts of the watch are upgraded to a full warning or other areas are added.
