Members of the general public have noticed people's 'creative” parking this morning in the Waterfront Carpark on The Strand.
Photos sent in to SunLive show some motorists creating their own parks after the carpark was resealed overnight, with no white lines repainted.
'Last night the Waterfront car park on The Strand was resealed,” says Tauranga City Council transportation manager Martin Parkes.
'At the same time the pedestrian crossing on The Strand were remarked but due to poor weather conditions the contractors were unable to remark the white lines on the new car park surface.
'As a result there was some confusion today with the car parking spaces, but as far as we know there have been no incidents.
'The remarking of the white lines in the Waterfront car park is scheduled for tonight. Thank you for everyone's patience,” says Martin.

this 100% confirms how dumb people are and why traffic problems are created by people not roads
So, if the Council

can organise overnight resealing, what's the problem with organising overnight repainting of the car markings as the resealing is undertaken?????
