The Christmas spirit has hit the Western Bay of Plenty with a variety of Christmas events planned for today.
Carols at the Quarry is just one of many events happening today with people invited to the amphitheatre in Te Puna Quarry Park at 7.30pm.
The community choir event will showcase the talents of the band Emmaus and guest singer Georgia Baker.
People can get in for free and cars are $20 with cash only on arrival.
Gates are open at 5.30pm.
